I've got a Ford OEM CB radio that I intend to put on Ebay but want to get it ops checked before doing so (yeah, I'm an ebayer with a conscience). Unfortunately, I no longer have any antennas so I'm looking for a shop that can do a quick test on it.
Anyone no of a shop in the Springs area? Alternatively, is there anyone in the area who would be willing to bench check it for me? It's worth a 12-pack of your favorite (reasonably priced) beverage. :)
Hey baglock1, wish I could help with your quest to find a CB shop in the Springs area but as you know, I'm about 150 miles away and am not aware of ANY CB shops that have survived the almost death of CB traffic. I still turn on my base station once in a while and hear nothing but static and a lot of Spanish being spoken. I still have a SWR/power meter and if you are ever down my way again, you are welcome to use them to check out that set that you are going to sell.
It is a real treat to see another guy who will sell his stuff only after he has checked it out first. Finding a seller who is concerned about having a clear conscience in selling his stuff is certainly getting more rare with each passing day. Good Luck!!
Think there is a shop over towards Salida on hwy 50. Also have seen one towards Loveland on I25.
