primers

Does anyone here find it necessary to use CCI mil spec primers when loading for the AR? Its time to pick up a few thousand and stop paying so much for my practice ammo.
The reason I ask is I once had a Russian SKS that would double or worse if fed anything with commercial primers. The AR would be the only thing I need small rifle primers for .

I think I did buy some milspec ones to try out but haven't gotten around to it.

Normal primers are just fine. I use nothing but Federal or CCI BR.
