AK in Longmont thereabouts
Hi folks,
I got the AK bug and was wondering where to find an inexpensive AK. I would love it to have a side folde stock and plastic black furniture but that can come later. I saw the AK build party notice, but can't break free for a whole day or two, so wil have to wait.
Another question, if I buy a 100% reciever and a parts kit, could I put a set together easily?
Also, could use some links to some other sites that cover the various types of AK's etc.
Thanks.

Easily? Not without the right tools. Hopefully Merl will chime in. He has plenty of experience putting kits together and helped me build mine. If you find joy in making things, putting together a kit is fun. It takes quite a bit of work and will probably cost around $300 for parts and supplies. If you don't care, just buy one already done. If you keep your eyes peeled and ask around, you might find a decent SAR-1 or MAC-90 for under $400.
Good Luck
Here's my build:
