Whoa Fu*k, Hello kitty.

So Since I lost my dog. all my table scraps I've been throwing out for the critters. I live in the Hills, so sky's the limit.

Tonight, I cook a nice NY Strip steak, bring it in, eat. Just went out to throw the bone's and grissle out. Look up the hill at my gate which is 10 feet away.

And.. Oh shit. 2 eye's lookin at me. Mountain Lion, small. About 125lbs. Just backed up close to the door, came inside. And watched it. Didn't come down. Benn at the door about 15 min. now lookin. And I'm going to bed. Gona sleep well tonight!! NOT! [Tooth]

Youd leave the door and windows open if you wanna live up to your title...

I was at a bike race in NJ a couple years back. My buddy decided for whatever reason to sleep outside on a cot in a sleeping bag - I think we were all just being drunk and loud inside and he was ready for bed. He comes back in the next morning, we're all sitting around eating breakfast at the table and watch a full adult bear stroll right through the backyard feet from where his head was. I can only imagine what came to visit him in the middle of the night.

We should start a fund to replace DSB's underwear! I know if I was staring into the glowing eyes of a couger 10 feet away, I'd crap and pee all over myself!

It's kinda weird... I had a dream recently where I was attacked by a mountain lion (just read "Beast in the Garden"). As I was on the ground being chewed on, and clearly dying, I unsheathed my Kabar and could have sunk it into the cat's chest, but chose not to. I figured that I was already dead, so why should I end the cat too? They say you can't die in your dreams, but I faded to black (crunch, crunch, crunch). Probably the coolest dream I've had. Had it been a person, I'd have done my best to take them with me, but a cat was different somehow. At least in a dream.

My brother almost got munched by a bear while on duty last week because of a dumbass DOW guy. He kicked at the bear and it decided to run off.

A fellow I know was camping in the Rockies and brought along a .44 magnum in case of bear attack. Well, at 0 dark hundred a grizzly walked into his campsite and started rolling him around like a big burrito. The .44 is strapped to his side and he is zipped up tight in one of those "mummy" style cold weather sleeping bags and is unable to draw it . . . so he commences shrieking like a little girl. Disgusted, the bear walked away.

Cats are scary that way. They don't act afraid, just annoyed once they realize it is going to be hard to eat you. It's even creepier when they are moving and you are close to them but they make no sound. I am half deaf from the military, so maybe I exaggerate a little, but I doubt I could hear one before it hit me. Creeps me out.

It's been years since i stared into the eyes of a cougar, i think they were more bloodshot, than glowing:)
