I scored 2 revolvers years back when the spouse found out her husband was screwing everyone but her. Being the kind and under appreciated lady she was sold me 1) SP101 and 1) Colt DS for $400.00 Her old man was a useless dead beat who felt everyone owed him. I had no issue making sure he was "owed"

So how would a guy go about buying something like this and still protect yourself? I'm sure a BOS does no good right?

Good question. Technically, if it is stolen, and you don't know that it is, I don't believe you can get in trouble for receiving stolen property. I would, however cover your ass and check the serial if you plan on buying and you suspect it may be stolen.
