Someone got my debit card and used it to purchase over 10k in stuff in one day. I got a call and thought it was someone trying to scam me but after a few attempts I finally called the actual bank and it was actually the bank trying to notify me of crazy different purchases that I normally don't make.
Now every time I swipe any card at any ATM or anything else I wiggle the device to make sure it doesn't come off before I put my card in because skimmers are such a large problem now a days.
can you at least wait until my order gets here next time!

Yes it sucks... What I love about my credit card is that I can set txt alerts for when a card is used without the physical card, urchases over X amount, etc. I get real time activity so if something suspicious occurs I know asap
Last year we had a similar fraud attempt happen to us. They were purchasing two thousand dollars of electric equipment in CA. Just so happen that I was trying to get gas at the same time and they deactivated my card immediately. The thieves actually had a physical card with them at the store.
Yep. I had someone try to buy $1000 worth of electronics at Walmart with my debit card number once. Fortunately, my bank realized I would never spend that kind of money on electronics from Walmart.
Sure it wasn't just someone buying you a christmas present? lol
man that sucks, but at least you caught it early, glad the CC company is taking care of you
