Mccain....
Well he won most of the states somehow... Romney says he'll stay in the race.
I dont respect either, but mccain is in my eyes no different than hillary or obama. Does mccain the only one left with an ounce of conservative juice in his body even stand a chance at this point?
When the end day is hillary/obama or mccain, what choices are left?
I guess I'll vote independant nothing much we can do at this point...

like or dislike mccain. the stragety rush, hannity and the rest or the "conservative" media has
saying they'd vote for hillary is a shitty one. their attitude/stratagey does nothing for me and turns me as well as other gop voters i know, off. who gives a shit what they think. when romney announced his intent the "christian conservative" all but dismissed his religion as not worthy of their vote. NOW he's a more conservative canidate and their choice???WTF??
there is no one running i'd vote for, yet more than likely i'll still pull the rep nominee in nov
maybe i'll join penn and his ilk ,overseas. :( NOT

The truely sad part about this whole thing is, it will boil down to one of two things, Do you want to take the direct path to socialism, (Billery, Obama) Or do You want to take the sceanic route, (Most of the republicans) I have voted R since I turned 18, Right now there isn't one of them that I could support 100%. I will end up voteing the R again, no matter what it's better than the alternative.
I did not mention the third path,(RP) Because He would stick His head in the sand so far, that the country would have no chance of moving forward.

I like none of 'em
but I notice that JM won CA... that tells you how fugged up he is.

The Presidential election is set, we will not change the out come, no matter what we lose.
The place where we can still make a difference is in the US Senate, US House and local elections.
I would strongly suggest that everyone at the site here, learn what they can about Bob Shafer, and support him for US Senate. I will be supporting him and Musgrave again.
Maybe work to become a city councilman, mayor, state legislator. There are few running that we can depend on to represent us in a proper fashion, and not sell us out. We will have to make it happen ourselves.
We have not lost the war yet, but we have been set back, and battered.

I won't vote for the Democrat, but if McCain is the GOP nominee and his running mate isn't any better than him, then I'm just going to either vote 3rd party, or write in Thompson (now if McCain was smart he'd choose Thompson as his VP ... then I'd vote for him because McCain is old ... maybe we'll get lucky and he'll drop dead early in his term and we'll get a President Thompson).
If enough of us wrote in Thompson, maybe (just maybe) the GOP would take the hint.
Otherwise I'm also seriously considering leaving the GOP if McCain is the nominee because its clear the GOP is no longer a party of conservatives.
Of course that also means we've been pushed way over Claire Wolfe's line. (and no, I don't have the balls to start shooting the bastards either :( )

foxtrot, for years I've echoed that same sentiment ... I said the same thing about conservatives that didn't trust GW (and I believe I've been vindicated there as well).
HOWEVER, I don't believe McCain IS "better" than Hillary or Obama ... his policy choices will be almost identical to either of them (with the possible exception of the war in Iraq). He'll only pick supreme court justices that will preserve his precious McCain-Feingold 1st Amendment Abrogation Law NOT strict constructionalists (in fact I bet they'll be the exact same people that Hillary or Obama would pick). He'll sign pretty much any gun control legislation the dems give him and he'll keep our borders wide open while continuing to squeeze the law abiding American people with more and more regulation.
At least with Hillary or Obama in the whitehouse, Republicans on the hill will be energized and fight against them when they would give McCain a free pass just because he has an (R) after his name (much like they've given Bush a free pass when he did things most republicans don't support).
So in this case, voting 3rd party or writing in someone like Thompson won't be a complete waste because hopefully it will send a message to McCain and the rest of the GOP that we don't want to see the party go any further left.

Given our current choices for POTUS, either side.
This country is SCREWED.
