Rocket launchers turned in at gun buy back ???

Are the AT4( I think that is what the big one is) and LAW tubes even reloadable ??
I know they are just something someone picked up as memorabilia but CNN makes it out like they were a " big deal"
"Grenade Launchers" turned in in LA buy back program
Saw a post about it on Facebook. Apparently people are going apeshit about "grenade launchers" being turned in in a buy back program in Las Angeles. In reality they were AT-4 training tubes (just an empty fiberglass tube that looks evil... can't be reloaded and is entirely harmless).
1. Are people really stupid enough to freak out over a training device?
2. Kudos to whoever got the govt to pay them for something comparable to a PVC pipe.
Rocket launchers turned in at gun buy back ???
Those are one time use launchers. More than likely someone took them after some type of live fire exercise to keep as a souvenir.
I have a friend who works for LAPD and he used to be on the gun task force that's responsible for handling this buy back. He says its nothing more than a BS political scheme that does nothing. All of the people who turn in guns are libs who usually acquired the guns because a relative passed away and left their collection. Many of the guns have to be x rayed and in some cases charged with C4 to ensure the chamber is cleared, apparently most are rusted out antiques. Last year only one gun turned in was a crime gun and due to the no questions asked policy they couldn't follow up on it as a lead.
