yep, pretty much what I've heard elsewhere. There aren't enough rich to just tax them and keep current spending. So either we tax every worker alot more, or cut spending.

The "fiscal cliff" deal that raised taxes for persons above $400K/$450K ? It also included new tax breaks for Democratic special interests that ate up more than the amount that the higher tax rates will collect.

The fiscal cliff deal included $41 dollars in new spending for every $1 in new tax revenue.

Our government is addicted to spending.
