Here's hoping they don't sell us down the river to get a few more to sign on. I'd be delighted with a strong pro-2A decision with 5 justices rather than a watered down one just to pick up Breyer and Souter.

I'm sure glad we were able to torpedo Harriet Miers. Regardless how good or bad a decision we get on Thursday, I'm convinced it would have been much worse if she was there instead of Alito. Can you imagine where we'd be today if Bush 41 did his homework and nominated a real conservative instead of that moron Souter? Or even if Regan had been wise enough to avoid the urge to put a woman - any woman - on the court? Maybe we wouldn't have this McCain Feingold free speech gestapo running around.

I shudder to think of Osamabama picking federal judges and a 60 seat Democrat Senate rubber stamping them.
