Cavalry Arms polymer lower and CMC trigger?

I was under the impression the Chip McCormick drop-in trigger would "drop in" to a Cavalry Arms polymer (plastic) lower.

Mine doesn't QUITE drop-in. I've seen posts that others have used this combination in the past. I don't know if CMC has perhaps slightly altered the module's shape since the recent recall.

It looks like I could just bend or shave a little metal off the front of the trigger-module housing and everything would be fine. Probably void the warranty though.

Anyone have any experience with these?

FYI, Cavalry Arms sent me detailed instructions on how to make this work.

Haven't tried it yet, but I think I'm on the right track now.
