Could the manufacturing defect really make a $5-600 difference or are people starting to calm down?

Maybe it's not calming down, this is just a normal person who isn't trying to put his kids through college with the frenzy prices... [Dunno]
Things are calming down a bit. Pmags are settling down to the $30 to $40 range. The highest priced guns are not selling, as people see that they don't have to spend that much. I'm pretty sure the guy who paid over 7G for the Scar 17s 2 weeks ago is mighty pissed off.
I hope the guys who dropped serious bank on the ARs/SCARs weren't borrowing to do that.
We should load armslist and gunbroker up with fake ads showing items for sale at the old prices. Just borrow the e-mail address of someone you don't like. Get enough of those out there and crap will calm down.
Naw man, that's like going outside firingline or 5280 armory and passing out discounted price leaflets of non existence guns. Just down right evil! [ROFL1]
Deals are still to be had. I just picked up a near new XDM .40 for $400. Better than the $700 I saw them going for at gun shows.
That was a killer deal- as they're going new over $600. Your biggest prob may be finding new mags. Try Firing Line- they have NOT raised prices at all on the high-cap pistol mags.
Seems to be dying down... That is unless there is new legislation, then it will be back on. Unless people are out of money.
When/if legislation is introduced, it will be Panic 2.0.
This is my Sunday- back to work tomorrow. I -believe- that the XDM mags were going for $41.95. No bargain, but that's the same price we were selling them for when the gun was introduced. We just started being able to order some things again this last Monday. We are slowly getting re-stocked on the handguns, but they go very quickly after being put out. People are really focused on the hi-caps, like the Glocks, Springfields and Smiths. No anticipation or estimation on ARs or AKs, or any other "assault" type rifle.
I thought it was pretty funny that there was a forum member in the wanted section who posted that he wanted Glock 26 mags and was willing to pay $60. On the shelf at FL for $31.95.
When Scar17 mags were on the internet for $60-$70, we had them on the shelf for $40.95. We were selling new Brownells 30-rnd aluminum AR mags until they sold out last weekend- for $24.95.
On a side note, I understand that now is a good time to buy wheelguns.
I do think the frenzy is dying out. At least until the end of the month.
Panic 2.0 - new and improved, will start on 1/09, when Colorado's legislature is back in session.
I really hope its starting to calm down a bit...I still need to buy powder, bullets, primers, a new lower and upper and a few extra mags.....ugh
SHOT Show is only 11 days away from today oh my! This will be interesting to say the least!
The only reason its calmed down is because there is nothing left!!
Ive always wanted a Model 94 Lever gun, think Ill pick one up! Betting that the only ammo left of wally marts shelves is 30/30 lol.
Nah, not over yet. I'm still seeing 2-3 times MSRP for AR and AK rifles on Bud's auctions and gun broker.
I got to agree, the frenzy is far from over there is just nothing left in the shops. Perhaps on Armslist people are having some difficulty with moving things at what they are asking for. But on Gunbroker many AR15s, AR10s, M1as are going for some crazy amounts. Sellers who plan thier auctions well are doing well. This crap is just the start once the State and Federal legislators start talking it will be far worse. Get it while you can.
You make an excellent point. Winning big on a listing is ALL about timing. Of course timing is all about luck! Sometimes you get the bear- sometimes the bear gets you.
I'm still waiting for my PMags to turn into big, black, bars of gold...
Pmags = currency of the future
Frenzy isn't over if your looking for 9mm Glock anything though... [Bang]
You just don't know where to look.....
Wrong. You just have to where they aren't gouging. Firing Line in Aurora has not raised prices on Glocks or Glock mags one penny.
