Anyone remember "Chuck Yeagers Air Combat?" Shit fit on a single 1.5mb floppy disk. 3d combat flight sim, covered three wars, probably 100 scenarios, probably 40 planes, included complete audio, (radio, gunfire, damage, chuck Yeager, briefs, etc.) pictures of each plane, etc. etc. Way ahead of it's time. The enemy AI seemed better than Microsoft Combat Flight Sim (600+mb). I still marvel, as a programmer, at how they fit all that in 1.5MB. Blows my mind...

I DO remember spending hours and hours playing that. There were some memorable Yeager quotes in there, and you would always get a quote that was dependent on how you performed in that mission. The mountains were little green pyramids... Lol

I loved that game... Then Pro Pilot came out and I played that constantly. Dozens of flights from Denver and Jeffco to Vail and CO Spgs. Then got to fly a 777 simulator at the old United facility at Stapleton. It's really not that hard. This whole thing sounds like a W.E.B. Griffen novel I read about terrorists stealing a commercial jet and planning to crash into Philadelphia.

Industial espionage ? They could have bought off an insider with a whole lot less hassle than taking the entire plane and 230 odd passengers for the 20 company reps on board.
