Old Forester was named after General Nathan Bedford Forrest. The second R got lost along the way. The story I was told (not easily found on the interweb) is that General Forrest as one of the founding members of the KKK. Back then it was a Southern gentleman's drinking club. More of a social group than what it turned into.

It is becoming harder to find around here. It is also the reason you cannot find Blantons any longer as they are using it for Elmer Tee Lee bottling. I tried to find another bottle as it tends to run out and some greedy bastard bought the last six cases.

Makers 46. I went on keto a couple of weeks ago and it's amazing how different this tastes now. I can pick up the sweetness and oakiness much better than before.

I just finished off a bottle of regular Stranahan's. How does it compare?
