if you are really broke, just trying to feed your family, do you still shoot? do you still have cable tv, wireless internet, cell phone? people make choices, but have gotten to a point in this country where not only do you need enough money to "feed" your family, but you feel you are entitled to survive AND have tv, cell phone, beer, fast food, hobbies, etc... try eliminating everything that you dont NEED to survive and you will be surprised at how little you really need.
i have no doubt that there are people out there that cant make ends meet, but i think most people are not there yet. with this president and congress you will need to make changes now as it is only going to get worse in the next 6 to 9 months.

our cell was a gift from my dad when our kid was born and the bill gets deducted from his checking account every month, haven't had cable in years, switched to magic jack the week i got laid off, and i have not had the money to pay my net bill for a couple months, it will more than likely die this week. the last time i went shooting was at least 2 years ago, have sold a couple guns to friends to make my last few truck payments. don't have any ammo other than maybe 5 magazines worth of .45 for my bump in the night gun and 3 loaded mags (that i got in a trade here) for my ar.

don't eat fast food, my wife works at kings and we only get store brands/marked down items that she gets a discount on. we have stopped driving my truck all together as it uses too much fuel. i have all but quit drinking beer, working on a case i got for fathers day. have not gone fishing this year since i cant afford the license, other than to visit my mom and look for work, i don't leave the house.

as i mentioned in my first post in this thread, almost all my shit is paid off and the only things i am paying for are truck payment (have 3 left), rent, utilities, and food. there are people just getting by and not everyone is just having fun on someone Else's dime.
