I find the amendment odd. Are they saying it is ok to pass the bill... AS LONG AS we do more studying? I don't get the motive here.

Are there any repub-controlled committees currently in the legislature?

So a judge in NY is striking down Bloomberg's soda size limit ban:

"The loopholes in this rule effectively defeat the stated purpose of this rule," he wrote, complaining of "uneven enforcement even within a particular City block, much less the City as a whole."

That quote is completely applicable to what the Dems are trying to pass today. Is there hope a judge here can do the same to whatever passes today?

One of the dems are making the rounds now talking to each lib. Guessing she's tackinh a tally to see if they have the votes
