Was at the Cabelas in Lone Tree this morning and saw a bunch if people with CCI .22LR checking out. None on the shelves. I don't need any, but I really don't get the panic buying on .22LR. They had practically everything also on the shelves (except the ammo I wanted, of course) but 22LR. I just don't get it....They did have Nosler Custom Comp. .451 bullets in stock for reloading. $51 for 250. I have enough of these.

According to my research, I should be using 250 for the semi-auto 308 loads I'm working up. Same with the .223 and CCI 450 to prevent any slam fires or pierced primers.

Anyone have any other fact based opinions, not just "it's what everyone uses?" I don't want to clutter TPWT with reloading ?

Get home and to checking them out and that corksoaker has 3-4 different bullets in there. some Boat tail, some not. Cannelure at different spots (I image the CBTO is different too.) [Bang]

Going to send back my AK. It's been a pain, and it is under warranty. We'll just have to see if WW will stand by it. Ejects casings in every direction, including sometimes out the port. Gun is out of spec, the gap between the barrel block and the receiver is too small, so the only handguards that fit are the ones that come with it. The finish on it is so thick I had to use slip jaws to turn the handguard lever back and forth. Something might be wrong with the receiver, too, as the bolt carrier has worn through the finish on the rails in just 300rds.

Not all hand guards will interchange in all AK's. Fitting may be necessary, sometimes a little, other times, bust out the grinder.

My last AK, I had a half dozen different handguard sets, and all of them fit comfortably. This is the 2nd handguard set I've bought for this one, and the second to not fit.

Can't say for sure. Wasn't looking for specific primers. They had a ton of primers from federal and CCI. Best bet would be to stop by or call, I guess.
