Damn math anyways.
Ugh. I struggled through a crash learning using Fusion 360 to import an STL, convert mesh to solid, and tweak an existing design to fit (printer upgrade part). They took away the option that removes all the polygons from the mesh conversion so it's quite tedious to clean up. I'm a complete CAD neophyte so it's a real brain teaser.
For STL manipulation Blender is the bomb. Very steep learning curve, but super power full.
FreeCad can handle STL too, but I have not figured out how to manipulate them well.
Really suggest FreeCad for simple design as it?s free, has a decent support fan base, runs on even weak PC, and only gets better as users improve it. It has some issues with loosing references but they are manageable.
Maybe one day I'll decide I need something more powerful, but Tinkercad does just enough of what I need it to and I don't really have a need at the moment to learn a new trick. My printer sucks anyway, El cheapo.
My new trick of the month or so is to work on passing a HAM exam so I can use this radio. Not that someone's going to come for me if I key up on FRS.
Almost finished product. Power wiring is temporary for now.

As a side note, during this adventure, I found a GPS tracker wired up in the dash. Bought it used, so who knows.
I'll give that a try. Fusion is kicking my ass. It's just intuitive to me, though I did pick up a lot last night in a few hours of banging my head.
I learned Prusa Slicer pretty quick enough for my needs and am getting amazing print results with it and my Ender 5 Plus (except for spiral vase mode gaps in the base to vertical transition), and it has some rudimentary creation tools, but I'm more often finding I want to modify an existing STL. The vase is a good example as it needs some tweaks like a better bottom corner filet to print properly.
Try Blender. It?s how an artist sees CAD. But if you have no cad background then you might not notice. And like I said it?s free.
Obligatory ear worm post...
There was a thread for earworms a long time ago.
