I would somewhat agree, if you can study 15-20 minutes a day you can do them month after month, but I would say take the tech test and then take the general at the same testing session. I'm a VE tester and talk alot of people into taking the next test at the same time. Plus taking online practice test can really speed up the process.
Hey guys,
I was online at ARF.com, and they have an echolink/iRLP net every Friday at6:30 PM MT. Im going to t to connect this week to see if it works and learn more about it. I encourage others here to give it a try as well. There is also a giveaway of some sort if you are registered on QRZ. The link for the thread is: http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_10_22/6...=bottom#bottom
Singlestack
I'm game. hopefully I can get an antenna today.
Singlestack, see you there.
Back atche Tech. If I can't connect via echolink - they have had problems since the started in November - I may try to connect via IRLP. Appears the rumor the prize is a KX3 are unfounded, unfortunately.
Anybody else taking the test next Saturday? I'm ready for tech, just started reading over the general questions. Seems like there's a lot more memorization-type questions vs physics and "common sense" questions. Any other recommendations for studying up? I had given my ARRL books away, and was just using hamstudy.org and some apps that were free for my phone.
asmo, are you still in? The test on the 15th is closer to me, but if you're in, I would still make the trip to meet up and to finally get this done.
I'll shoot for the 15th. Something else came up that I need to dedicate the next week to.
