Same this morning.
Went to Golden location (just reopened today).
Drove by just before 6:30am. 4-5 employee vehicles in lot, one truck at the gate.
Got squared away at work and went back at about 7:10. I was 4th in line. This is a 4 bay station, so I figure I'm in the first wave.
All 4 bay doors were open and about 5-6 employees running around. Or should I say milling about, smoking cigs, shuffling around. Before 7:30, mind you.
I get it. Place opens at 8am. Channel 7 reporter/camera on site. Do a couple quick takes about 7:30-7:35.
4-5 more employees show up right before 8.
So, almost 8:10, they finally open the gate. Gate girl directs car 1 to bay 2, truck 2 to bay 3, truck 3 to bay 4.
She directs me (4th in line) to bay 2. Okay, maybe bay 1 is special purpose.
Truck 5 is in lane 3 and truck 6 is in lane 4.
Bay 3 obd reader non functional. (Gee. Been idle for 2 months, and knew today was go day. Couldn't test/verify your equipment??)
Send truck 3 to bay 2 behind car 1 (ahead of me, car 4)
Here's the pisser. Holds me in 3rd position for bay 2. Directs truck 5 to bay 1 and truck 6 to now vacating bay 4. WTF?
So, same as Gman, they OBD test twice, pressure test gas cap, and I'm done. They MAY have dyno'd truck 5 in bay 1, but I actually am not sure. If they did, that was the only vehicle dyno'd while I had eyes on.
Guy tells me to pull to end of bay and cashier will take care of me.
I make the mistake of stepping out of my car, and cashier lady yells at me to get back in my car.
Hands me my printout and tells me to have a nice day.
All the while, countless cars have been idling in line for a roughly an hour apiece all day and half days Saturday for 6-8 weeks at every open station during the heat of the spring, but we're saving the environment.
Way to go Air Care Colorado!!
At least I'm not bitter...
Sent from somewhere...
