Uh oh, that person is going to be charged too.
Kenosha Commando....speaking of which...
I've been thinking about this Kyle kid fighting for his life in the street in Kenosha. Initially I was most impressed by his self control in not shooting the 3rd attacker right away. And waiting to shoot until that guy began his assault again.
But in thinking about it more, I'm most impressed that he chose to stay down and fight from the ground until it was clear. Most people would have immediately tried to get up again after tripping in front of a mob. Even if they were already engaged in a fight, they'd still try like hell to get up. That's the natural instinct. But if he did that, he would have lost. They would have got the jump on him while he had his hands down pushing himself up, with no way to use his rifle.
Instead he just stayed there, maintained control of his rifle (for the most part, +1 for a sling) and dealt with each individual threat. Even when he got up he did so in full control, slowly, deliberately without visible panic, making sure it was clear. He backed away with his rifle at low ready until he decided it was clear enough for him to turn and put distance between him and the mob.
I know it all happened in seconds, but that kid did what he did instinctively.
How does a 17 year old have that kind of situational awareness in a deadly fight?
He probably got some training from the evil PO-lice.
Kenosha Shooting Suspect Was Part of Youth Police Cadet Program: Police
You think they do that kinda dynamic stuff in teenage academy? I thought they just let kids play with breathalyzers and do fake accident reports n' stuff.
He had to have done something more than just shooting at paper targets at a square range. The way he got seated after he tripped and before he got kicked in the head makes me think he's done some actual self defense training...with guns. That's not typical for teenagers as every class I've taken has required students to be adults. Maybe he watched YouTube videos by self defense trainers and practiced on his own. Maybe he had a mentor that worked with him (anyone heard a word about the kid having a Dad?). Maybe he simply had a survival instinct that was on point. Who knows. But I truly am impressed.
This is a great breakdown of events, especially what happened before the car lot, as provided by Kyle's legal team. It syncs exactly with what we've seen on video, the criminal complaint and the eye witness account provided by the Daily Caller reporter (the guy who took his shirt off to render aid to the first attacker).
It also explains that Kyle worked in Kenosha. He didn't "travel" there with any intent. He was already there and stayed to help.

There is no case here. His legal team is going to rip the prosecution apart.
Troubling times for sure. There is a lot of power in mob mentality, its like an opiate.
Humans are tribal by nature (that goes WAY back), I'm worried pumped-up bravado a-holes from both sides are going to bring this to a new level.
No wonder gun/ammunition sales are up!
I hope for the best, we do not need this right now.
I think at this point the US Marshals Service needs to take Kyle to Witness Protection. With all the unrest and BLM proving itself to be a terrorist organization, I would say the Lake County Juvenile Detention facility to be woefully insecure. I am gauging this on that if anything happens to Kyle, some folks will demand an extremely violent response. I have seen this response threatened on many social media platforms.
Kenosha has apparently been pretty quiet the last few nights...ever since rioters got push back that ended with some shot and killed...Just a random coincidence I'm sure.
Also, the narrative seems to be changing. Even one of the nutcases on CNN said the riots weren't good for the Dems and the election. Portland also had a couple nights quieter then they've seen in months.
We're seeing more and more people show up to push back against protesters. People are fed up with these mobs. I bet we see the media refocus their efforts to spend all their time "reporting" on "far right wing extremist white supremacists" who are "taking over the streets" in "Trump's America"...or some such nonsense.
