Sounds good Belly, good luck with the lighter bullets!
And way to reinforce that, my only plan when I go to the range is "pistol, rifle, shotgun, zero something, or a combination"...
Belly, you went to the range today to primarily shoot pistol, and you only fired 20 rounds altogether?
I wouldn't have 20 rounds or less for any caliber when going to the range. That might be because I still kinda suck though....I don't like pissing ammo away, but evidently I need more rounds to get my shit together for different guns.
And uh, OBC, if you cut your own hair next time and it doesn't turn out, its not my fault... [Peep]
I have video of me shooting a 10" moving target between 3 full person sized no-shoots from 400 yards. It would be fine if that was the only thing going on at that time. Here's a list:
broken scope
multiple targets (ranges were 400, 205, 315, 545, then again at 400)
people yelling and screaming
odd elevations
that was a very difficult time.
So basically breathing, trigger control, sight alignment/picture on dry fires? (im quite noob)
OBC, you loading 223 for accuracy or plinking? My plinkers, I load up 5-10 of each load, shoot them all, and pick the best load then churn them out.
Pistol, I could care less about the ammo because its so much cheaper! However, when I get my 308 rifle soon, I'll probably be doing just what Belly does, tons of dry fire, and not shooting that much.
Belly, obviously your rifle stuff went well, how'd your pistol stuff go?
Well, yea, thats still cheap, but when you load pistol for 16cents per round, its more fun to pull the trigger there LOL.
Belly, thanks for the gold coin! Much appreciated.
You guys are sick....but it's fun.
No, that's not a plan.
my plan today (specifically) was:
reconfirm functioning of SHTF pistol ammo
reconfirm I can still hit a target (w/pistol)
run 1-5 drills with pistols
Zero BUIS on carbine
Confirm eye relief of precision AR
confirm proper functioning of new rifle length buffer system
BC...I don't know about plinking. I load different stuff, depending on what is available, and try and figure out how it's going to shoot. My max distance with any kind of reliablility is 100 yards, and I'm still trying to figure out the differences between projectiles, loads and all that, and how stuff behaves.
Dude, if there's something you want to know more about, I'll put together a quick little video and YouTube it up. I've already got one on how to build your position for the prone.

^ LOL
I was only slightly kidding. With pistol, my plan is usually working on smaller groups at 15, 25 and 50yds (they're huge by the way lol), counting rounds, working on trigger discipline (I always let the trigger go all the way and I'm trying to break that habit), malfunction drills, and draw from holster, shoot twice, reholster.
I honestly don't shoot that much rifle lately, out of match 22 ammo, but I have gotten the hang of shooting a gong at 200yds with it (learning holdovers). My AR has a reddot, so I usually shoot irons out at 100yds for groups while working on breathing.
But you're right, I should write down a plan before I go so I know what I'm doing.
OBC, by plinking I just meant shooting for fun. Not shooting for groups, just having a blasting good time. Although I guess plinking really refers to shooting at steel plates and whatnot, where it actually goes plink, plink, miss, miss, miss, miss, miss, miss, miss, plink, miss, miss... LOL
Its not necessarily for stopping a bad guy, it's for squeezing out two fast back to back shots to work on recoil mitigation, and sight alignment by feel so to speak.
OBC, by plinking I just meant shooting for fun.
Oh, I totally get that, brother. But we always seem to be trying something new. All of it is fun, but I always want to hit the target....I want to get better, always.

Thanks for the link. I'll take you up on that for sure!
Damn commercials.....I want a naked cheerleader.....right now.
A female one, you weirdos.
Spent a few hours rewiring the radio on the classic mini. I think my 12 year old could have done better than the clown who did the original job.

So I was in the mood for some breakfast sandwiches the other week and was about to buy some at the store, then I saw they sell frozen egg patties, sausage patties and decided i'd make my own (probably healthier that way).
Then I found this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
And holy crap!! Crack one egg in the egg cooker, add 1 tbsp milk, a little salt, scramble it, microwave for 1min and out comes a super fluffy egg patty! Toast an english muffin, toss a slice of cheese on it and assemble.
Delicious breakfast, no crap fillers like frozen or fast food joints, and honestly, it tastes better too!
Ya know, just fyi. In case anyone else enjoys breakfast sandwiches and wants a cheaper alternative!
