Damn wish I could have made it out this year! Glad you guys had some luck on the harvest! Keep them pics coming...
Nice buck HCWT!
Hoping to to see a good one come December!
There is no over-the-counter for antelope this year except archery right?
Correct. I don't remember there ever being an OTC rifle or muzzleloader tag for antelope.
That is one big fat cow, congratulations, Irving! That should be a year's worth of excellent meat. If you are butchering yourself, package most of the hind quarters as steaks. Many cuts of the round are as good and tender as the loin/backstrap.
"I think we got very lucky and don't expect to come across an opportunity like that ever again."
A 35 yard shoton an elk is a gift to be remembered. I recall vividly the scenes where I took a cow at 35 yards, and another at 19 yards. My average is ~70 yards, the longest is about 220 yards.
Congrats to those who got some this year! [Beer]
In 7 days of BP hunting I had ONE opportunity this year and blew it. Dumbass.[facepalm]I learn something new every year.
Dad started of the season by taking his third and largest dall sheep in Alaska. This ram had 14 1/2" bases, 41" curl and 26 1/2" spread tip to tip. He and I will be headed out second season to hopefully put tags on a couple of muley bucks and a couple bulls as well.
