Hell yeah. Jerky and sausage soon.
case trimming is such a pain... But hey, if I sell my pistol upper, I'll only have one .223 gun, so I won't have to trim brass anyway, right?
Another thing, if you get into precision shooting, then you'll want to trim for case uniformity. Otherwise, for plinking, you're g2g unless the rounds won't chamber. Seems like some folks just trim after the first firing, then you're okay for a couple more firings before trimming is needed.
They will stretch to the point that the case can ram into the rifling. You really need to measure the case after every firing and make sure they are within the dimensions of your specific chamber. It would be unsafe to let the cases get too long as pressure could spike to dangerous levels.
I understand the danger of high pressure due to cases being too long, but I am almost certain I read in my manuals that the case is perfectly formed into the chamber it is fired in, then it doesn't need resizing or trimming? I guess I'll have to go re-read that section. I'm still a total noob at the reloading game.
Here's a bit of a cheaper option for you HB:

People seem to really like these. If you're just trimming one caliber, this may work better for you anyway.
You are right in that the case will be formed to the chamber. However the case mouth expands forward every time you fire it since it's constrained at the back by the bolt. Since there is not much constraint where the bullet meets the lands, the case will want to stretch into this area as it expands. The cases continually stretch and thin with subsequent firings.
Howdy-Ho hose!
Yeah, I saw both....I am the king of time I suppose
You crazy guys and your half a second .30 caliber tactical assault clip magazine reloading!

So proud of my little man. Went to a bday party and they had one of those hunting arcade games with the fake shotguns. He asked if he could touch it first then told me he wouldn't point it at people. And he didn't!
Too bad we aren't in our house in Hawaii. We could shoot the pellet rifle in our backyard.
Nice job, HC and friends.
So, one box of fried chicken, different chips and dips, I'm covered for tomorrow.
Corn chips and a mexican dip, and some ruffles with a tostido spinach dip. Gonna be some good snackin' here tomorrow, but I did eat several pieces of the chicken already.
I'm a sucker for fried chicken.
