Howdy fellers,

Belly, you had me laughing with the cover band stuff............and I'll mention again that it's cool seeing Roberth posting, good guy to have around for sure.

..and thank you guys for the good wishes on my deal going on here at home, many of you have, and it means a lot to me... I appreciate it.

I wanted to catch up here, and have to send an email or two, and get moving on some stuff around the house, pay a few bills, and get practicing my scales backwards. Lesson got bumped to Wednesday which isn't all that bad, as I get another evening to hit my lesson assignments.

I'll be back to harass you guys later.. :)

It's been a LONG time since I've tried to rip a dvd. I'm just wanting to add a couple movies to my ipad. What a PITA! The encoder is slow as shit, and didn't work after 2 rips... I used to do this on PC but now I'm on mac. That is the main difference...

I watched a video on youtube that said you install HandBrake and VLC. I don't know why VLC was necessary unless it had some kind of unlocking feature. It wasn't explained well. Anyway, I've been at this all afternoon and I HATE wasting my time on this stuff.

Thanks, I'll plan on doing that. If I have time this week I plan to load up my first few rounds of 308.

And on a somewhat totally unrelated note, one of my packages has a eta of Friday, which is odd, because I thought that genre of things had to be overnighted or 2nd day air shipped, not 4 day regular UPS Ground. And the last 2 that I bought were shipped 2nd day air (double checked the tracking on those). Stinks, probably won't be able to pick it up until next week. :/

eta: Just looked it up, shorter versions are overnight, but their longer counterparts can be shipped ups ground.

Just load up to the proper specs, as far as COAL. That way you have an even baseline.

Thanks! I'm trying a rip with it now.. Seems much faster than HandBrake already. I just hope I can get it to play on my pad.

Freaking HandBrake just failed again.... I've been waiting an hour and it wont open in VLC, quicktime, anything..

Will do, unfortunately I don't have a 308 trimmer yet, so I'll just be loading the cases you sent as is for this test.

And that listing of brass earlier was my 223 brass collection, not the 308 cases.

I just got my 223 WFT and am still running it through some tests to see if it works sufficiently well all across the board to use on 308. If not, I'll get a manual trimmer since I (probably) won't be churning through hundreds of 308 at a time.

Ripping is done. That program was very fast. Although now I must figure out how to get the movie on my ipad. I can never get a straight answer on the mac boards.....
