I didn't know you work nights, or is it some other reason?
And thanks for bragging, now you have me craving cornbread. My english muffin with jelly was not as delicious as I hoped, we ran run out of jelly and someone put the empty jar back in the fridge.

Time is relative. As long as i get a 15-20 minute nap.
There was a tv show on a few years back ECO-CHALLENGE. Very interesting concept , also to watch them in action.

It was different groups competing in a week long 24 hr contest. Took place in different environments around the globe. There was an Army Ranger? team that "thought" because of their experience and training, they'd clean clock , taking home the prize. They never got close. During the post interview, they realized what was done wrong.
Their plan was to go full throttle 24/7, thus over taking other teams. It dawned on them, unfortunately afterwards. Had they taken 15-20 minute rest breaks like others did. Their stamina may have taken then to the top vs. pushing all out with no rest.
Well that was nice. I didn't have to wait at the hospital, so I went on a pretty little drive around North Cheyenne Canyon park. I'll post pictures in a bit.
Wow, those pictures really fail to show the beauty of that drive.
It was a very beautiful drive and there are a bunch of trails up there that I didn't know about. I got up to about 7300ft before I turned around. It looked like it went up a little further.
I watched that movie Scott Pilgrim vs. the World last night.
It's catchy, but pretty much a fantasy cartoon.... whatever, anna kendrick and elizabeth mary winstead are in it, and that's ok.
Good morning Belly! How ya doing?
Ya..Im still alive
Hey Wax!
One more post...
Top of the morning to you all!
Had to leave work for a pet problem, not much point in going back in today. Have to take Friday off to get stitches removed from said pet. Sucks burning vaca time for stuff like that.
Yeah, but there really isn't a choice in the matter. Owning pets is a responsibility for sure, and I'm the only one here to take care of it.
When does your new gig start?
Well shit...I'm home with lots of day left, I should get moving on some stuff around here.

just reminiscing about the past 12 years of military service. Long road, good times, bad times, 4 years of service in foreign lands.
I'm pretty broken, but I don't think I'd have it any other way.
I saw Mick's thread about days gone past, and it reminds me of my own grandfather.
He served in a Battalion of all Norwegian-Americans in WWII (99th Infantry Battalion Sep.). He was a Company Commander at D-Day, and also fought at the Battle of the Bulge, discovered (in part) the Malmedy Massacre, then later took part in OSS operations in Norway and was a member of the 474th Regimental Combat Team. He was a truly hard core mother-f****r and asked for nothing in return. His example and influence has guided me both into and out of some pretty heavy situations, but I've come out of them with two distinct thoughts about leadership:
Never be too much of an Officer to be a Soldier.
It's OK to be tough, but it's never OK to be mean.
I miss him a lot.
I just pull out the latest American Rifleman, open up to the scariest gun pic in the issue, and they shut the fuck up real quick.

Congratulations everyone !!!!
