I have no idea. I was under the impression that they had more power. Maybe I'm a sucker for marketing.

Narrower footprint for tighter spaces, and basically a small gear reduction providing more power for cutting. You can modify a worm dive and use larger blades 10.25 and up or chainsaw conversion for large beam cutting

I had that same saw. Sold it to opie. It?s a mistake to sell nice tools, although he?s probably making better use of it than I would be.

I almost used it to cut up an old couch today, but I'd like it's virgin cuts to be for something better.

I use it all the time. It rips through lumber like nothing!

They are also easier to control and cut straight with.
