Brings me back. Modern spoof on Blaxploitation. Watched it with my step son, feels good introduce a new generation to such greatness.
Thoughts?
Saw the trailer during the super bowl; I'm goin.
Is it just me, or did they cast that female who was also in the military unit in Avatar. The one who had terrible lines and turned on her country at the end.
She is always cast for crappy roles like that. Trailer looks cool (they all do though), but just her being cast in the movie casts a doubt for me. Assuming I'm correct in thinking that was her.
who you talkin abt? 1:59?
it looks like her...
That one female? Oh yes stu, like you weren't a die hard F&F vtac fanboi back in the day. lol
Yes doc, it's Michelle Rodriguez.
I like her too. [Coffee]

LOL! Shit never gets old, eh? [ROFL2]
well I finally got my super wide and flat newfangled tv set up with my brand new xbox360 so I tested it out watching the star trek reboot and dave.
They have remade Authur (in post preduction)? Really?
Russell Brand plays Authur Bach and Luis Guzman a Puerto Rican plays Bitterman; originally a proper English Butler/Valet.
Come on. Why didn't they just make Arthur a woman.

Two serious thumbs down.
I love Russel Brand. And Guzman. And Helen Mirren, too. I'm going to see that for sure.
I dunno, I think that looks pretty good. I will say though: further proof that after the last two years that hollywood has NO original ideas anymore.
No spoilers here . . . .
I went and saw I Am Number Four today. I didn't realize it was aimed at such a younger crowd. The love story and high school "drama" portions of it bored the socks off of me. The action parts were very cool I thought but there wasn't much of that until the end of the movie.
I'm not sad I went to see it. I just wish I had done my research and saw that it was so young and lovey feeling.
Just watched the trailer for S.W.A.T.: Firefight, looks good but can you guess whats wrong with this picture?

Has anyone seen A Scanner Darkly? Came out in 2006. It was filmed live action, then drawn over the film or something so it looks animated. I ordered the book today and want to read that first. Don't tell me about it, I just want to know if anyone saw it.
I'll watch Battle L.A. , trailer looked cool.
Watched True Grit yesterday at the Elvis Theater $2.50 for 2 :)
I know I'm late to the party but I just had to say I really liked the movie. I wouldn't compare it to the original, totally different movies. Just on it's own merit, it was funny. Except for the last 5 minutes. The little girl should have grown up to be a hot looking business mogul, not an old witch.
Battle L.A. was great. Think Black Hawk Down meets Independence Day.
Nearly the entire movie is a M4 Carbine advertisement lol.
I love scary movies!! Blood, gore, suspence, thriller, murders, etc. I watched Paranormal Activity last night. Oh Shit!! Chills!! I did'nt sleep for SHIT!! I have part 2 and I'm gona wait for the week end so if I don't sleep I can take a nap to make up for it!! Any one that says the were Not scared by this movie, I say Bull!!
I never got around to watching Paranormal Activity.
I came across this list of 10 sci-fi movies coming out this year and I'm pretty stoked to see them.

Just finished watching The Thing (1982) because of that list I posted. What a great movie. I bet that movie was AWESOME back in 1982.
The last few times I've camped up at Pawnee, it reminded me of The Thing, and I hadn't even seen it until tonight. I had the feeling about right. Cold, middle of nowhere, can't see what's outside your shack, no electricity. Yay.
It's not a remake, it's a prequel. Read that list I posted already.
"The Thing" was originally made in the late '50's (?) with James Arness in the title role. Good movie, but different slant in detail than the 1982 version. The latter is more true to the original science fiction novella, I think written by James Campbell way back in the '30's or '40's. Read it when I was a kid in the early '70's. Good read.
I read up on all that after I watched the '82 version, and was wondering if the book was any good.
just watched "the tourist" starts out slow, but has a good ending
I saw this one, at the local theater, as a kid. Spent a lot of time under the seat as I remember. [Sofa]
Watched Skyline last night. There are some good stories in the naked city. This ain't one of them. I give it [Awesom].
Anyone ever seen Night of the Lepus? Giant mutant rabbits terrorize dessert ranchers. Pretty fun at Easter. As Joe Bob Briggs would say, "There was a lot of ketchup-fu in that movie.".
Watched The Fighter last night. That was the most excruciating 2hr 28min 25sec of my life. Bad doesn't even begin to describe this poop fest. I don't see what all the hype was about, other than all the actors can play really farking annoying characters. Even the the cute, barmaid love interest was like listening to fingernails on a chalkboard.
Despite my utter hate for any creature with those accents I actually thought it was a decent movie. The one thing that was a big let down was the total exclusion of his fights with Gatti. You're gonna make a movie about a guy who was involved in one of the best fight series in history but make no mention of it till the credits roll? Come on
