Agreed. Not that I am a great shooter but I did well. Had to go 3 rounds back to back. The older gentleman that beat me was running 1 shot per pin with a 45. Making up some hotter 9mm loads as we speak.

Just use that 10mm of yours next time.
I thought about it. I have a RIA 10mm now as well don't have enough mags for that yet. The core pro did well until we went to 5 pins that are placed towards the front of the board and they didn't fall off as easy.
If your reloads aren't heavy enough you could try some of these.

124 grain flat point 9mm are what I used when shooting 9mm, and they lay the pins down much better than standard 115gr round point ammo.
How many mags do you think you need for the bowling pin match? I did like 4-5 rounds back to back and kept running to the back to reload. I was joking that I brought 6 mags, but reloading the same one over and over gave me a second to rest between rounds. Haha.
Slapps if you were there for the 8pm when the 6pm was letting out, we probably saw each other. I didn't stick around though.
Yea I got there around 7:30. Was sitting back by the vending machines wearing a Reloading Zone grey t-shirt.
Oh yeah, I remember briefly getting lost in your deep blue eyes...
Just kidding, I stepped into the room to see if there was anyone I recognized then took off.
Those weren't mine. Mine are green sweetheart.
Don't think we have ever meet.

How bad is it out there with all of the rain?
I will update conditions this afternoon. As long as berms drained, the wind should dry it out ok for tomorrow.

We've got someone checking it out this afternoon. Will make a call later tonight if the match is happening or not.
What buff said :)
Match on, range in good shape.

Sweet. Looking forward to it.
Think one of my coworkers is going to try to make it out for his first time. He isn't very cool but maybe we could let him shoot with the cool kids anyways.
Sweet. You going to be there tomorrow slapps? I'll be the guy wearing a pistol, mag carrier, cover garment, boots, and some sort of hat.
Aren't there like 30 of us with gopros now too?
Yep planning on it. Haven't picked out my clothes yet ! Haha. I will find Ray and Bo and go from there. At the bowling pin shoot tonight 6pm group.
Not going to make it. Happy shooting.
Had a great time out there today. I asked around all day for you Slapps, as I'm just now reading this. There was one stage that was pretty hairy for new shooters, and one stage that was just balls to the wall speed. Good combo. Can't wait for scores.
Join the site already Russel.
I'm uploading some videos to YouTube right now. I'll post them up when they are done.
Also, I'd love to see the video of a certain someone tumbling to the ground.
The "cool kid squad" just wasn't the same without it's ring leader today.
Still had a good time though. Well, except for the part where we set up all of the stages and then immediately tore them back down and moved them and then set them up again.
The tumble unfortunately did not get caught on the GoPro, as it ran out of space the run before. I'm uploading my videos as well. Because I came with a pretty much full camera, I've got only 3 stages on the GoPro, and the rest on the cell phone.
Okay, only took a couple of hours to get the video up. I added some annotations to the video. Tell me what you think.

NOTE: Our group started on Stage 5, and a few of us were standing around talking about how the stage felt slow and awkward with it being the first stage of the day. I remember feeling like I needed to clear my head and start focusing. I probably even thought to myself "What are you doing? Speed it up, stupid." You can clearly see this change in stage 5 between the first set of targets and the last set of targets.
I brought some stuff for the minions, but it all went to ARC after the match. :(
I guess the Cowboy Action people have a big match this weekend because they had tents and food trucks set up and wanted to set up for tomorrows match now. Something like that. At least I was able to eat an Indian Taco right at the range.
Man I wanted to participate so bad, but I did not want to spread the love with whatever I have, not sure if its the flu or bad sinus infection. Hopefully there will be more matches, this looks like a lot of fun :D
Sorry about the move, I forgot they had a big match out there. I was out there last month and they had a major match too and I thought that was it. Didn't realize there were two of them.
All the RO's and setup folks out there a huge thanks for making that all happen. Without you guys none of this would happen! KUDOS!
A side note on scores...they won't be up until Monday or Tues night. Sorry about the delay, logistics and life got in the way of me picking up the paperwork and getting them entered today.
Here was my perspective from yesterday's match. All five stages in no particular order. I was shooting a Glock 26 in SSP. Sort the same gun last month but in CCP and didn't like the 8+1 limit for that division because it pretty much made me have an extra reload on each stage. You'll notice at the end of the first video I post that I had a little malfunction that caught me by surprise. Basically had a light primer strike. I'm blaming the ammo since the pistol is unmodified and has performed perfectly for me for several hundred rounds and didn't bobble again for the rest of the match.

The one you have labeled as number 4 was smoking. Love those pure speed runs.
Kris, thanks for the heads up on the scores.
Looks like fun stages, well done Ray.

Oh yeah, nice to see you out there sportbikeco, how'd you like it?
Even with good weather I wouldn't get too excited about a November or December match. Those Saturdays are right after thanksgiving and Christmas so I imagine the fine folks who make the matches happen might have other plans for those weekends.
Sorry for the delay on the scores all. As usual thanks to the setup crew and to those that helped break down!
We hope you had a great time and look forward to seeing you out at CRC again soon!
Thanks
