Hey Lobo! I've been super busy lately too... Working 10-12 hour days, working on a couple of projects outside of work, still trying to find time to eat dinner and breathe...
Tryin to get some yard work done today. I got distracted by the crew pouring a concrete patio extension at the house behind us...
No soil compaction or ground conditioning before the pour.
"forms" they were using were not even close to straight or square.
Should last a good long while then.
Didn't want to pay for a pump, so they wheel-barrowed in about 6 cubic yards of concrete from the front of the house. With 3 guys, they've been at it for 3 hours already and they are about 75% done.
You can see that the first wheel-barrels of concrete are starting to cure up already and they probably still have another 30 mins before they finish "the pour"
Oh yeah, did I mention that they didn't put in any sort of rebar?
Tried calling Bowers Tactical. No answer. They at Tanner?
when they finally took their forms off, I could see a LOT of air bubbles and the surface was visibly uneven. They are going to have puddles. and cracks. and it's going to shift.
Surface almost guaranteed to flake and chip.

Do you need rebar for ALL depths of concrete? What if it is only a sidewalk or something?
We use wire mesh for side walks. Remesh or similar.

Nope, I have tried for many years to avoid being the concrete guy.
