Doing better here. I can't believe the little guy is almost 4 months old now. I think that's when I last checked in here.... By the time we get home from work, I get about 2 hours with him then it's his bedtime. So I'm finding that I have a little more time on my hands. Getting used to the daycare germs making there way through the house. This last bug was particularly bad. Throat on fire...uncontrollable coughing spasms...lasted two freakin weeks. Trial by fire bro...but it's cool as hell being a dad. Not much else going on except I did get finally get my amateur radio license.Quote:

But, for what its worth, I just bought 2 tires for my Mini and had them installed at Discount Tire. They were all "Why didn't you give us a chance to order these tires for you?". I replied with "I tried, you guys said you couldn't order these tires for my car".
Later, he realized the tires were larger than OEM and therefore the system won't let him order the tires for my car, but if I bring them in, they can mount them no problem. Still have to order two more for the same car, wonder if he'll order them for me this time. And I'll probably wait until the end of Sept to buy them, just because I still have like 0.005" tread on the front tires and want to get that last little bit out of them. [Coffee]
We've been eating off of paper plates for a week now. I hate paper plates. I also hate plastic forks because you can't cut food with the side of them. I keep having tines break off and try to kill me.
Realtor moved up our closing date about 1wk. At first we were like "oh hellllll no!". Then we realized that's 1wk further away from when baby is due and will give us more time to settle into her parent's spare bedroom. Now we're all "oh helll yes!" [LOL]
That's another 10K rez miles. Or put them out front with a $75 tag on them. Locals will offer you $50, manana ;)Quote:

Actually, she seemed pretty okay with it. I think it helped that I got the tired changed out and ready to go in less than 10 minutes. Hopefully no more flat tires, but we'll see. She was very lucky that it happened as I was on my way home, so I could get there. Next time, she'll probably have a crabby HB Jr to deal with as well.Quote:

BFG AT's kinda sucked for me, too squishy, low lifetime. I like that the Rugged Terrain actually have a 50K warranty on them. They've been a great HD tire, decent in the winter, and are OK for occasional light off road use. Probably not well suited to a light truck/SUV.
I've had pretty good luck/life with BFG Long Trail on the 99 Yukon. Couldn't swing the usual Michelins right before vacation a few years back. Costco had to order them in, but they were only ~$125 per, installed. 245/75 R16, E rated.Quote:
