I have 14 days I have to take off by the end of the year. I don't even have any where to be for that much time. I'm going to take two weeks off to fix my broken ass cars so I can get rid of them.

I modded up a steel plate to help reenforce my cheesy "security" gate here at the new pad. It's a little chicken dick-ish, but it's an improvement. I dont have the time or money to install a 1/4 thick steel 4x4 set in concrete, the way it needs to be done......right now. It's a quick fix, but suitable for now.
Paint is drying on it now, flip it and get the other side.....dry......and get it installed today.

No need to get fancy with a huge square steel tubing, just get a 4x4 piece of wood, round off the corners, sand all the sides down to flat and then spray paint it to look like steel... If it looks like steel, it's probably steel. Most thieves aren't smart [LOL].

I had 4 at one time, parted one out, recapped and sold one to a friend (board member here), and was planning to keep two for myself. One is still torn apart and recapped but has a hum issue to fix, the other??? Gone. Can Not Find. I must have sold it or loaned it out and forgot to whom.

I got 24 days of leave and 12 days of sick per year at my old university. When I left, I cashed out 1 month of leave and used the last 3 weeks of leave/sick as vacation time and got double checks.
Eta: wife distracted me, 3 weeks not 3 months
I get 0 sick days. Being sick means being broke.
We can only carry over 5 days and there's no payouts so they force us to use it or lose it and practice "life balance."
Im not going to be able to take them before 1 Oct. I'll take most of November off, though. That will leave me with 35 days of vacation before I get on a plane again. Then it'll reset to the 60 days after that trip. Then the next year I'll be right back where I started. It's a vicious cycle.Quote:
