It seems like the 140gr 6.5 is what people are liking, I assume for targets. Are the 123gr a no go?

Im very happy with the 140gr -ELDm for my purposes & in my rifle, out to 1300-ish yds. I haven't tried the 123gr so I wouldn't know from experience but from everything Ive read, any advantages gained at closer range would likely be negated once I stretch out those distances & especially in certain environmental conditions. At some point, Id be curious to have a look first hand, build a profile, compare/contrast & form my own opinion to the percieved/observed differences over the published data. If I were to hunt game instead/in addition to lr competition, there'd probably be more incentive to experiment on my part but for what I do now, 140s work well.
Yeah I look for stuff in the 160gr range. I just came across three boxes of the 123gr projectiles the other day, but my friends all passed and wanted the 140gr ELDm instead. Just curious.
Not sure at long distance but the 123gr are stupid accurate in the RAP at 100. Wish I had taken a picture.
January was an expensive month. Got the RMR on it the other day. This is the smoothest shooting handgun I've ever shot.
Rollin' old school cool, just got the Tyler T-Grip from a guy on another forum. Lovin' this NY-1 .38spl
