If I won the lottery, I wouldn't tell anyone.
In no way/shape/form do I want that kind of attention.

I wouldn't mind winning the lottery and all, I just wouldn't tell anyone.
OBC: I'm with ya on the tree and decorating, bro. I'm not really into it. I just want to celebrate in my own little way.
LaRue had a Black Friday sale of 50% off their polymer stuff.
i bought a FDE rail panel kit for my rifle and one of their a-peg grips for mrs. belly's AR. She really likes those.
Ritter (the dachshund puppy) has been snipped.
He still runs around like a little mad man, he just doesn't hump anything anymore.
My FIL went to Mississippi State. His nephew (wife's cousin) is a fan of Ole Miss. It was a tough game to watch. I stopped half way through, actually.
I shot the new Franken-AR10 yesterday. It went fine. It likes the suppressor, so that's good.
The adjustable gas block is neat.
i have a feeling that I'm about to start needing more .308 ammo, so I might get into progressive loading that. I'll definitely go with team blue if I get into that.
I have nothing against my lee presses, I think they do just fine for what they are: hobby-grade loaders.
The movie 'Jack Reacher' was a pretty fun little movie. Here's what bothers me about it. (SPOILERS)
they say that the villain in the movie shoots a lot. Something like thousands per week. The only press he has is a Forster CoAx? Can you imagine loading even 1000 per week on that?
his trimmer is non-powered? He single weighs each charge?
then he shoots it from an M14/M1A. Those things a so hard on brass, how can he afford this crap? The guy was a sniper in the Army, but then what does he do in his civilian life for money?
Whoever got paid to be the technical expert on that film got overpaid.
Snipers don't shoot thousands of rounds per week. It's not an accuracy by volume event. It's a lot of field time, yes, but its more like jump in, walk around for two days, get set up, spend the next 36 hours not moving (did I just shit myself? I think I might have), make your reports (or radio them in throughout) then crawl home.
thousands per week? Nope.
The most I've ever fired in one sitting was 300~ish rounds.*
*while shooting for the Army.
Although I don't believe in the whole 'One Shot, One Kill' myth (I agree with what it REAALY means, though), I do think there are ways of getting better at shooting and getting more and more comfortable in your abilities that don't include that much ammo.
Anyways, I did something on Thanksgiving that I thought I would never do before.
I played my first game of dungeons and dragons.
It was not as bad as folks would think. Having to have the rules explained to me and then having to suck at it kinda piqued my interest a bit.
if anything, I was invited to their regular weekly game.
OH I GET IT!!!!!!! Those folks used D&D as a way to get together and socialize. Much in the same way grandma has her bridge clubs, or mrs. Belly has her bunko games.
So, I'm probably going to go for a new scope. Any ideas?
Yep, that's about it from me. See you hoes later, probably tomorrow.
Belly has almost perfected the the drive by Post Whore run. [AR15]
I played D&D back in the day..never killed any old ladies..never killed any animals (that I didn't eat, or that didn't deserve it)..never had a satanic orgy (unfortunately, since that would be pretty cool, if I was the only guy)..
We also played a game called Vampire..SSDD..played it with a bunch of head banger pot heads that I went to high school with..I'm sure they haven't changed a bit..the "leader" of the group was dating my sister..so they tolerated me..
And Happy Sunday hoz!
Just waiting on this jalapeno cheddar bread to rise a little more. I think this one could stand to rise for a few days actually, since it seems to be moving pretty slow, but I'm too excited to try it!
It's basically this video with some tweaks.
I set the oven to 400 degrees, and also set a heat safe pan full of water on the bottom rack for extra moisture, and bake for around 35ish minutes. If you have a thermometer, cook it until the internal temp is 206-210 degrees. If you don't have a temp, then sticking a skewer or anything in the middle, and pulling it out when it is near dry (hardly anything sticking to it) when pulled out will get you there. If you cook for the full duration of whatever recipe you're using, and the inside isn't ready, just keep on cooking. I don't even really have a time to be honest.
Pretty much all no knead bread recipes use a dutch oven or pyrex with the bread covered for the first 20 minutes, then uncovered for the last 15 minutes. That works fine, but I like the bread pan because it gets you closer to the shape of a loaf of bread and makes it more usable. I don't even cover the bread. Once the bread is done, pull it out of the oven and remove it from the pan to let it cool. If you leave it in the bread pan, the bottom will get soggy. FINALLY, don't cut it open until it cools for maybe 10 minutes, and if you keep it in a plastic bag, an old bread bag, or even a shopping bag, it will stay soft for over a week. If you don't keep it wrapped up, it will turn ROCK hard in only about 2-3 days.
Oh, almost forgot, haha, as far as the cheddar jalapeno part, I just made it up and this is my first run. I did the same recipe, but added 1/2 tsp pepper, 3/4 tsp minced garlic, 1/2 cup cheddar, and 1/4 cup of chopped up jalapeno. We'll see how it works out. With the regular bread, I usually put in 1/4 tsp of pepper and probably 2 tbsp of honey. Have fun.
Thanks. I'm going to try this for Christmas dinner.
No problem. No knead dough tends to come out tasting a bit like sour dough. If you decide this is something you want to do more often, read this awesome article all about the science behind no knead dough and you'll feel like you know a lot more about what you're doing. Good luck!

Irving, that bread sounds great. We use an older bread machine that we got cheap from craigslist, but it usually works really well and it's nice because you can generally hit "start " and then walk away
Okay, even I get sick of posting pictures of bread, BUT, this bread rose the highest yet, AND it looks fantastic and I can't wait to try it!

Oh man, that looks good!
Looks good Irving.
We try not to buy bread from store and bake our own. Even the frozen bake at home is better than the stuff in the bread aisle.
It is. I'm eating it now and it is great. When I was making a lot less money, I became a pretty big fan of going to Safeway and buying a cheap can of soup and a $.50 cent roll of jalapeno cheese bread to dip into the soup as a cheap meal. Now I can make the bread for like $.20 cents a loaf.
I found one! Picked this 2 gallon can up at Ace today. It's made in the USA, labeled for Kerosene, and has a 'drip free' spout also.

I know a drip free spout is a novel concept to the whores.
lol
Are you tired of the steady *drip, drip, drip...of gonorrhea?*....old Cheech and Chong bit.
That bread sounds delicious, Irving !
I watched a few movies new to me in the last couple of days.... "Nebraska"...was kinda cool. And "Sling blade" was pretty interesting.
Wife and I made up some turkey casserole(s) that promise to be yummy. Be grubbin' on that tonight during the *mid season* episode of TWD.
LOL
Roto Rooter, that's the name, just flush your troubles down the drain.
:D
