New to me 2014 5.0
A 20' stick of 1 5/8" x 1/8 wall tube, and a 10' 3/8" thick angle; both aluminum.

Well, not quite heh. You're looking at $100 worth at $2/lb.
I have a 6' stick of titanium tube with a receipt from 2015 for $198. I was going to sell (trade) it to my metal place, but the going rate for scrap price on Titanium is apparently $.35 cents/lb right now, so I just kept it. I also have a 6' aluminum tube that I kept as well.
For comparison, they buy steel at $.15 cents/lb, and sell scrap steel of $.60 cents/lb. Still seems like it'd have been cheaper to build everything out of titanium, but no one has a bunch of that scrap around like aluminum.
I was also looking for some 1" square aluminum in something like a 1/16" wall, but they didn't have any. I have enough of that same size steel to make what I want right now and for almost free, but I'm pretty concerned about weight so I'll just keep looking for aluminum. Oh yeah, scrap on stainless is also $2/lb retail. I've never bought scrap stainless or aluminum before, so I don't know if those prices reflect the current market or not.
You check the guys in Henderson? They usually have AL covered. Kinda pricey IMO though.
I've heard of other metal places, but never been to any. I got a number and address for a place in Brighton that deals in aluminum, but the guy at the front desk said he only sells at full retail price, so I expect it to be pricey as well. What's the name of the place you're talking about?
EDIT: Just looked it up and we are probably talking about the same place. AlReCo on Brighton Rd in Henderson.
AlReCo
Yeah, that's them.
