What a cutie! What's Liberty's story?
Liberty is a Rat Terrier, 9month old. We picked her up Saturday.
We had a Jack Russell/Rat Terrier mix, Jenna, for about 11 years, she passed away from an aneurism bursting last Nov.
Jenna was a unique dog to say the least and and a big part of the family, we finally decided that we could look for another dog to add to the family.
Our GSD is lonely, having always had Jenna around.
Our GSD and Liberty are not quite sure what to think of each other yet. But they do get along.
I love the JRTs and rat Terriers. They were a big part of my life for 25 years we lived in Colorado. Liberty looks like she's pretty tuned in to what's going on around her.
We had a rat terrier for a spell when I was still living at home. Was a stray my sister picked up. That dog was fast. Used to run out into the yard where birds were picking away at fruit that had fallen onto the grass from the several apple trees planted by the previous owner. She caught several. She seemed happy until she managed to eventually run away from us.
Liberty looks like a great pup.
Apex Thin Blue Line trigger for the Hellcat. I'm loving that it's also supporting police officers.

Growing up we had a couple Rat Terriers. My mom loved those dogs. My dad hated them. If it couldn't hunt, it was useless to him. We always had beagles for rabbit hunting and they were kept outside/garage if too cold. Our Terriers also hunted tree rats and birds.
The first one, Sammy, tried to eat a car out on the Grandparent's farm. Did not go so well for him. he may have suicided himself. I think he had something on Hilary.
The replacement dog, Tammy (same sire/bitch) died of old age. She almost died when my dad 'accidentally" nearly cleaved off her snout as she poked up between his legs while he was killing chickens. Vet saved her, but she never got within 10 feet of the old man after that. LOL.
