The sound quality of these is quite good (not on the level of true studio level head phones, but nothing with a closed back and ANC that works for an airplane ever will be). In a quiet environment, my home office for example, they really do a nice job of reproducing the complete sound profile of high quality audio. Past that? They are "Okay". On the plane the sound quality suffered with ANC (IMO), more so than my current pair of Bose QC's.
The ANC is also good, but not quite to the level of the Bose, to my ears. But this is very likely also a result of the lack of good fit/seal, which is my main complaint.
The big draw back to these for me was the fit and comfort of them. I found that they were far to easy to slip out of position if I leaned my head forward. I have a large head, and that makes fitting headphones and such a PITA, honestly.
Hopefully they fit better for you!
