The Boy Scouts have camp there, buts an adventure camp so the counsellors are either sex. The young kids camps allow family's to camp with their kids.

Just got back from our winter trip. Way to much effing fun! Hauled in steel and ran the rifles through their paces in the cold.

We had targets set at different distances from 100 to 630 yards. Off the end of the barrel across the lake is 630.

Wow! Great pics, great experience, I'm sure.
I'm always envious of your winter escapades.
It was a good trip. One of the guys snapped this picture of me on the hike in. Kinda shows my load out. I have my backpack down to 30lbs for winter trips and that will get me 2 nights.
I am good friends with one of the instructors from Ronin Tactics long range course. They are wanting to turn the course into a trip like this with long range high altitude shooting. So this was kind of a initial practice run for that. I built the sled set up for just my shooting gear. 2 15"x20" AR500 plates and my shooting gear came in at about 70lbs. So I had a solid 100lb load out on this trip. That was plenty! We clocked just short of 9 miles.
It was another great experience all around. Learned a lot about my gear and even the capabilities of my rifle in those conditions. Lots of surprises!
