Last Sunday went up over Guanella Pass, damn windy but a great ride. Not sure where I'm headed today lol.

As always, made some changes. I ended up selling the VROD and CBR. I found an extremely clean, bone stock, one owner 2008 Yamaha Raider 113ci with only 4800 miles on it. I didn?t waste anytime and started making it more my style. 2-1 exhaust, big air kit, Ivan?s flash, 240 rear tire and some 8? straight risers. I had a Raider a year or two ago but for a very short period of time. I forgot how punchy they are and now with all the extras, it would give my old vrod a run for its money. He also had the OEM quick detach sissy bar/pad which I guess is pretty rare.

In typical SouthPaw fashion, I always rotate sport bikes. I found a deal on 2009 GSXR 1000 K9. Again, one owner, clean and setup nicely. Werkes exhaust and a Power Commander PC-V. He said he had it dyno tuned some years ago and it put down 155hp+ to the wheel. I?ve been running 107 octane in it and it pulls like a freight train. I haven?t owned many Zuk?s but it?s a solid bike. I?ll probably end up selling this one if anyone is interested.

And lastly. Of course after picking up the GSXR, a few days later, a beautiful 2011 R1 popped up. I told myself to look away but I had to at least check it out since it was in the next neighborhood over from me. Long story short, it?s now sitting in the garage too. The crossplane R1 is hands down my favorite motorcycle. I?m a Yamaha guy anyways but when the crossplane R1 was first released, I swore I?d have one. I?ve had a few of them over the years so maybe I?ll end up actually keeping one. I wasn?t in love with the color but I was able to look past it due to how clean it is. It is starting to grow on me a bit though.

2018 Street Triple R. But not for much longer, looking to sell it sadly...
The SV650S is a great bike especially for the money - great choice...
I've been watching some videos of the Isle of Man races.... 200mph on a 37-mile lap which includes tight turns and city streets.

Man, nothing lets you know how inexperienced of a rider you are like riding on snow. Still can't do a wheelie.

I took this picture a few weeks ago. Seemed like a bike you don't see around here a lot, but I don't really know. Is it British?

It's a Royal Enfield Himilayan. Originally a British bike, but I think they are now built in India. Looks like an interesting bike!

The Royal Enfield factory was moved to India, I think in the 1950's. Last I heard they were the biggest MC manufacturer in India (and India has a HUGE motorcycle market, mostly due to the fact that motorcycles are cheaper than cars, easier to store, park, etc and the weather generally means you can ride year 'round in most of India.)
RE introduced a line of 2 cyl motorcycles a couple of years ago. There is at least one RE dealer in the Metro area, Foothills, which also sells Triumph and BMW.

I used to have a t-shirt that read: "ROYAL ENFIELD: Makes an Ordinary Man into a Mechanic." :D
Here is my KTM 500 EXC-F on a Tenderfoot Mountain trail ride in Dillon this past summer. There is an extensive single track trail system up there that is a blast to ride. If you are in to trail riding and haven't had a chance to check this trail system out give it a go next summer!!!

Here's my bike...2017 Africa Twin, slightly enhanced. It's the manual version, no DCT for me. Those are fly fishing rods inside the left pannier. If I had to design a bike for Colorado, it would look a lot like the AT.

I'm looking to get a new bike next year, I'm torn between the KTM-890 and the Africa Twin.
I realize there's a big difference in engine size, but they both appeal to me.
If I was going KTM I?d probably go with the 790 Adventure R.
But you do you.
I really like the 790, but it's discontinued being replaced by the 890, same frame. Piston is only a few mm larger in diameter, stroke increased by another few mm.
It would be nice to find it at a local dealer to get a feel for the fit, but they can't keep them in stock. The early 2021 890's are already sold.
Nice. I guess I don't really keep up with stuff like that since I'm not in the market.

Hah. An old Sears branded Puch moped. Probably from the 1970?s.
Personally, I don?t find it very cool but seems there are collectors for just about everything.
I mean a moped can only be so cool in the first place. Collectors value is really the only value, IMO, and this is clearly not in good shape. Nothing in there is likely worth anyway, but when I saw the "Puch," I thought I'd at least ask.
I don?t know anything about Puch other than they made mopeds and scooters. Maybe they made other stuff too? I think they are Austrian so I guess that moped is every bit as awesome as a Glock.
And a Pinzgauer.
I don?t see much family resemblance...

I think Patrick has a couple earlier models in his shop. He?d probably be a good source of info (cwripinz).
Harley Sportster XL 1200X 2020
Much love for the Pinzgauer. I had a '75 model 710K that was my daily driver in Atlanta for about 4 years. I sold it when I moved to Florida. God, I miss that pig. I mean the Pinz, not Florida... You gotta appreciate a vehicle that comes standard with FAL racks in the back.
I finally got this one back up and running within the last week. Drained the old fuel, cleaned out the carb, installed a new plug, and changed the oil. Runs like a top!
I've owned it for about 6 years now. It's tagged and insured, but it won't likely leave my neighborhood.

I sold my Goldwing and my NC700 last May and thought I was done with street riding. Problem is that I really enjoy it and couldn't help myself when a buddy of mine told me yesterday that he was heading to the BMW motorcycle dealer to sell his K1600GTL for wholesale. It was in my storage building about 4 hours later...

Nice, if you suddenly regret it, I've been wanting to get a highway tourer to save the miles on the H2 that are just wasted commuting.
