Fentonite: I can't tell you how happy I am for you reading your posts and seeing the pictures. That dog has an AWESOME home and you can tell he knows it in those pictures. I know you can't replace the two you lost recently but you can replace the companionship they offered you and I'm sure your new dog will be more than happy to try to meet up to the bar they set. I have a feeling they're both looking down right now and tickled at your new found friend and happy that you found it in your heart to open up again. Good for you man. Good for you.
New Springfield LW Operator
On the left is the bag I picked up from LA Police Gear for $30 when they were on sale last year. On the right is the bag I found at a thrift shop for $3. Actually, I bought the bag for $3, a tie for $2, and he rang me up for $4.34. Go figure. Anyway, I am over whelmed by this bag. It has exactly two pockets, neither of them zippered. The whole is vast amounts of room, and more straps than I know what to do with. There are two straps that don't appear to have counter parts. I've got no idea how I'll use this bag, but it is very comfortable. So comfortable in fact, that I put my 5 year-old in it and could do squat jumps and plyometrics with ease!

All 5 of mine aren't as big as that good looking guy. He's a lucky pup...and it looks like he knows it.
My best friend's dog died unexpectedly a few weeks ago. As soon as the initial grief passed we were scouring the shelters looking for the next perfect companion.
Mike spent several days talking to someone at a Heeler rescue organization and found his next dog. Turns out "Toby" was being fostered by a family that lived about 5 houses down from him on the same street! What a small world.
Some things are meant to be.

Finally became a new member of the extended ESEE family. I love my new Izula! I even wrapped it myself. Guess I'll have to post a pic tomorrow, it's not working from my phone.
Nothing special, just some stuff for the 650 courtesy of the wife, for an anniversary present. You know where her priorities lie. I talked her out of the Giraud trimmer as what ever one spends the other also spends.

Not my latest purchase, but with all the talk about pups on here, I thought I should share. This is Ranger:

He is mostly black lab, and (we think) some blue heeler and maybe a tiny bit of collie somewhere in his bloodline. He is super playful, but when he gets really excited he pees, so every day when I get home from work, I have to go around the back of the house and meet him in the grass out back so we don't have to keep cleaning the carpet in the house. [Roll1]
We got him from the Colorado Canine Rescue 2 months ago and he is currently 6 months old. He was at a shelter in NM, but they were going to put him down because they were overpopulated, so CCR brought him up here, and we adopted him from them. This picture was taken 2 weeks ago at the Dillon Reservoir. Just for good measure, here's another picture of the reservoir from the Lilypad Lake trail:
