Sounds about right. As long as your singles are in good condition, a repair should be simple enough. It's it rusted out, installed poorly? Other thing is that sometimes wind can blow enough rain into an opening to cause an issue where there usually isn't one.Quote:

Well the guy I had go up there (recommended by an insurance buddy) couldn't find anything that would be causing it to go down the vent. If you'd like you're more than welcome to come give me a second opinion since you seem to like crawling on roofs. Yeah when it rains, not just storms but rains. I'm hoping it's only come down the vent and not like run down the vent as it's outlet. It's not in a valley on the roof, just on a slope. If I knew more about what to look for I'd give you more info. The 'fan' of the vent it's attached to still works, as does the light adjacent to it. I went into the 'attic' but there is too much insulation for me to be able to see anything, or crawl to it for that matter.
