I froze the head and cape so I can get it mounted. All the ticks from the cape migrated to the tips of the ears.

Where did you go hunting again? It was out of state right? As I'm new to all of this, I'm still trying to wrap my head around preserving meat until you get it to the processor and stuff. I don't think I'd be able to freeze a head even if I had the convenience of being at home. How did you get that accomplished?

Southeast Kansas, unit 11. My brothers friend is a very serious trapper/hunter/fisherman/farmer and has multiple 20 cubic foot freezers. We caped it out and put it in there. My brother is taking it to the taxidermist tomorrow evening. Should be ready for pick up in April/may.

Dont get me wrong I'm sore as hell already but I also have a grin ear to ear because of it. They have a practice green for putting and a chipping green so I wasn't driving all day.

The first was watching an undercover brother hop out of his car and draw his service weapon on a douche hole......which I didn't know what was going on, and I ran out front just because that's what I"ll do......... glad it all turned out to be a good guy busting on a hoodlum.

District 2's finest were out here again searching for another douche hole about two hours ago.

I LIKE being armed....dammit.
