Business owner in town has a nice waste oil furnace. He hasn't had a gas bill in 3 years of service, outside the water heater of course. That's heating a 100 x 60 steel building, 3-4 months.

Yeah, talking to a few folks today, I agree.
I do need to get someone out here to get some stuff done for me on that front.
I'm also needing to do some research on large roof solar panels for charging a back up system. DC with a big battery and inverter setup seems like the way to go. But there sure seems like a lot of research to do, or again....find someone that really knows WTF they're doing with systems like that, and get help to make good purchases/ decisions.
OBC I know there's some electricians on the forum but I have a great electrician I use.
If you need waste oil let me know. The cost to pick up a 400 would be on you. We used to get paid for it by a co that recycles, but with the low oil prices, they are now charging to come get it.
checking in to see where my post whore count is at
eh, not to bad.
I think it costs a hell of a lot more than that. $20,000 or something. People finance the set-ups for 20 years.

I'm probably going to take the dog to the vet today. She needs stitches.
Wife already tried to go to work. Got stuck, got scared, came home.
She sliced her foot on something Saturday. It's just too big of a thing to heal properly without scaring.
We've been wrapping it up and bought her a cone. I really think it should be stitched though.
I look at the PWT and want to comment and realize I'm days behind.
Irving you don't have an amigo, that vehicle is an old acquaintance at best.
That's all I got.
I hope the dog heals up well.
Haha, well done. Thanks.
Fuck. I didn't watch the news/weather and see this coming. Derp.
Needed to do a bunch of stuff TODAY.
I think the snow is about done up now....at least a foot in my part of the castle rock.....glad I bought that electric snowblower...
The JD did good today.
THATS why I paid for the damn thing in the first place.
I hope your dog gets healed up quick, Irving.
Sheesh, I hope that just a couple of panels doesn't cost a couple of grand. I have a specific goal in mind, not powering N. E. Denver....ha ha.
Happy Wednesday, fellers...........well, I hope it is anyways.
:)
100 watt panels are at least $100 a pop. Here is the one I'm planning on picking up: http://www.amazon.com/Renogy-Watts-V...pe+solar+panel
Here is a 160 watt for more: http://www.amazon.com/Grape-Solar-GS...pe+solar+panel
Here is a kit for $1,200: http://www.amazon.com/Grape-Solar-GS...pe+solar+panel
When you have time, watch this four part video series for an intro into solar. This is more about like a camping/bug out generator, but these are generally more simple than a home system or something and will give you a good starting point. Here is the first video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIZ0cx-QKrk
