Last summer, I had 3 scorpions in my house. First, my cat escaped from the office and ran clear across the house to attack it. Second, my dog (rhodesian ridgeback) kept attacking/biting at it until it stung her and then she ended it (she was okay, just had sensitive nose for a few days). Third, I nearly stepped on while walking across the house to let the dogs out in the early morning. We try to wear shoes/slippers all summer in the house for that reason. We put out small dishes of water in the garage for Vinny, because he really does kill scorpions for us!
Which reminds me, I need to go put the laundry in the dryer and water Vinny [LOL]

It's a Vinegaroon, more badass than a scorpion because it can't hurt humans and it EATS scorpions!
If you piss it off though, it sprays you with acetic acid (vinegar like chemical, but smells much worse).
God almighty, I had to sit down and make sure my feet weren't touching the floor in case one of those things was in my house.... [panic]
I'm sure they're very nice voracious things to have, what with the eating scornpions and all, and it should STAY in the desert. I'll take the rotten and evil bugs we have here, because they don't incite a red-zone adrenalin-dump like the photo of Vinnie did.
I will never, ever go to the desert. Nevernevernevernever.....
