Better shoot fast then.
Better shoot fast then.
Naw, just pull rank and move from squad to squad.
Damn, I forgot about that. Cool.
Do I still get to be special?
I might have stolen a short bus for a joy ride about 35 yrs ago. I knew I would be special one day.
Thanks everyone for coming out to shoot yesterday. We especially appreciate the setup and tear down help! Hope to see you all again next month. Results are below.

Thanks for another good match. I really liked the handcuff stage.
I bet you did.
Hi everyone.
Sorry to do this but we won't have enough staff/BOD to hold a match next weekend. There are a flurry of activities, graduations, etc. that will keep most of us away. We should be back at full strength for the June match.
Thanks for your understanding.
ECOIDPA Staff
How many more do you need?
Just a heads up, I am going to be running a High School Sport Shooting Camp at CRC on July 25-27. Several of them are going to come back and shoot the IDPA match on the 28th. While I have gear and guns for about 5, we would be most appreciative of anyone who has a spare 9mm pistol with belt rig that one of the High School students could borrow. The ammo we will use will be factory Aguila 124g FMJ.
Okay, I'm not a real RO anyway.
Mark, excited to have a batch of new blood show up, even if it's only the one time.

Hoping to make this one.
I'm really sorry guys but I just got to the range and it got hit much harder than I thought. The road near the berms is pretty much impassable and several of the berms are very mushy. Again, very sorry for the last minute notice but there's no way we can run a safe match in these conditions.
Copy that.
Hello everyone! Please note that due to the Colorado State match this weekend, we will not be hosting our August match. We are looking forward to checking out the new Cameo Shooting and Education Complex! I know we'll see many of you out there as well. There are still several spots available if you are interested!
The weather looks pretty favorable for a match this weekend (hope I didn't just jinx it), so come on out! The theme for this month is "Mini US Nationals" and will include some components from the competition last week in Talladega.
Once again, please consider coming out a little early to help with setup. Help has been a little lean lately and a few extra bodies are always appreciated. Plus, you'll get $5 off your match fee!

Thanks again for running this match.
This is a well run match, and if you're thinking of trying it out, I'd encourage you to come out and join us. This match gets you five stages, and there are enough berms to spread out the groups and keep things moving. I've seen the attendence really drop off from this match lately and am wondering why. Come on out and give it a try.
Thank you all for coming out to shoot on Saturday. I want to especially thank Russ for always being there bright and early to help with setup. Next month will be our last match before we close up shop for the season, so be sure to mark it on your calendar!

I am curious as well. This was the largest match we had for a few years, then it became eclipsed by the Carbine match. Now both are struggling to get 20 people per match. Would love to hear if anyone has any ideas. If you want to PM me, feel free as well. History has shown that once matches fall below 20, they are not going to survive very much longer. Losing any matches is not something I like to see.
I missed a lot of shooting this year, so didn't even know that the Dumont range was closed. I figured that would have bumped up attendance this year, but it doesn't look like it has.
If you live in the central part of the metro area, I think both ranges are about the same drive time. Of course Dumont is way closer for people who live in Golden, but those in Aurora would probably rather go to CRC. The regular crew up there all seem to be nice guys, so I don't think people don't show up because we're a bunch of jerks or anything. Larger matches tend to be more reliable as well since there are more range officers to go around when people have things come up.
We're looking forward to some really nice weather this weekend for our last match of the year, so come join us!
We always need help with setup, so in addition to the usual $5 discount, anyone who checks in by 7:30 will be entered in a drawing for a door prize and a free match fee to be used in a future match.
See you all there!

Did I miss a match last week? Are we starting up again in April?
My understanding is there won't be a USPSA rifle match on Saturday after all. Is there a way to have a last minute IDPA instead?
Matches are kicking off again in April. Since we don’t have much staff (this is a volunteer sport, so if you want to help out please let us know) tossing together last minute matches is unfortunately not in the cards.
We do look forward to gwtting the season rolling again though and having some fun!
Hey all!!!
We have a bit of an issue with the April match we have to change the date to 4/21/19 - We know its Easter Sunday, but the range is closed on our normal match day for work bond activities. Instead of canceling the match we have decided to have an Easter Classifier.
We will set up the 5x5 and the PCC classifiers. They are very fast and you can be in and out and back home for Easter activities in no time!
All the usual details are here (Take note there are some minor changes - in bold below):

Times:
Setup - 7:00am (Sorry no discount on match fee for setup on this one)
Registration: Immediately after setup
Shooters Meeting - 7:30 - 7:45ish
First Shots - 8 - 8:30am
Last chance to shoot: Register by 10:30am (cutoff time) - Like previously mentioned this is a quick paced match, you can register at 10:30am and still likely be on your way by 11am.
Cost: Match fee $20 Since this match is a classifier, $20 gets you 2 runs of your choice, each additional run is only $5.
