I'll see if I can make it, and see if I can talk NotALlama into tagging along as well. No promises though.
Steel Challenge is the 18th. Not this Saturday (11th). Sorry I am week ahead.

Thanks for update.
This just in GENERALISSIMO FRANCISCO FRANCO IS STILL DEAD
Woot, woot. Harbour Freight is coming to Longmont.
lookie there.. I got a new title.. I apparently offended a badge bunny
I have to say, I don't know what a badge bunny is, and I have no idea now to offend one. Although, I'm pretty good at offending people. Lucky for me, offending people has become insanely easy lately. Precious snowflakes, and all.
So who's up for some manual labor?

Shoveled and wheel barrowed for a few hours. Think I got about half of it into the back yard. I'm going to be sore all over and exhausted tomorrow. I can tell because I'm sore all over and exhausted now.
That's usually a good indicator of hard work. I'm glad we won't have any major landscaping projects for a few years.
SEO working well. I'm busier than a three balled billy goat. 12-14 days Monday through Saturday. Trying not to work Sunday's. What an awesome problem to have and what a difference a year can make.
There was a small plane crash near Houston yesterday. The security camera feed is shocking.

It's no wonder they died...
Cirrus SR-20s and SR-22s seem to attract a higher rate of less-than-competent pilots for some reason. The parachute recovery system did partially deploy shortly before impact. Not sure if it helped or made things worse. Also, I don't know what the lay of the land was, but usually there are better options than a busy parking lot if the pilot still has any control of the plane. It appears here that they did not. It may have been in a flat spin, which could have been caused by the 737 wake turbulence that the pilot was warned about by ATC, but that's just my speculation at this point. I'm not exactly an aircraft or flying expert.
ETA: The radio transcripts are also very bizarre - almost like the pilot was not in good health or state of mind.
If the news article's display of the flat path is correct, they seemed to be lost and confused. Also, the shadow facing towards the camera and to the right, but the plane hitting the car facing the left makes it seem like a spin, as well.

That and the fact that when it hit the car, nothing moved any further forward along the "flight path", such as it was.
Getting the Parker Car Fest set up this morning. Ended up being a great show, with 127 cars entered, and a couple more that were there, but not part of the judging.

Rod Runs! I love it! Kinda like a fly-in, without the wings!
Thumbs up ducks and cars.
Gallery of some of the cars there today

That blue Beetle?
Dang! There were 3 of them there, and that's the only one I didn't get more pics of!
It's in the background of this pic

Moving north as moves east, pic is straight west. Waiting to see if slides by or jumps on us.
Slide by I hope, I don't need the rain. Dry another week would be good.
