Huh. So apparently Yeti (the people who make ungodly expensive coolers) are anti-gunners. Well there you go...
Where'd you hear that? Not that I don't believe you, as it's pretty common these days.
Looking into it a bit more...
Saw the pics on one of the facebook gun groups where they have 30.06 and 30.07 signs all over their building (Texas). The guy who took the pics posted them himself, and he called and talked to them, their lawyer was pretty much an ass about it.
Seems a bit over blown. Many a business don't want guns on their property.
Another milestone, 4000 posts! WooHoo!
This has been a great 8+ years on the forum, you guys and gals have been the best, everyone that I have met have been among the nicest and most knowledgeable persons I have ever had the pleasure of shooting with, doing business with or just talking with. Awesomeness unparalleled!
I have tried to contribute, post fun stuff, be a part of the whole in an individual way. Being here has truly expanded my knowledge base across the board. I like that we are free to express ourselves honestly and with respect to one another on pretty much any subject.
Again, you all are the best and I look forward to continuing to contribute, have fun, meet other members and if anyone wants to go shooting on a Sunday or Monday morning up on the north side, shoot me a PM and lets see if we can work it out.
Thanks to all of you.

Two day work week....[Ban2][Ban1][Ban3]
Some outlaws live by the side of the lake.
The ministers daughter's in love with a snake.
At a funeral with a bunch of old people today. One guy is originally from Italy and he was telling a story and casually used the term "Octoroon." It took a moment to register in my head and I later asked my wife and she has never heard the word before. I can't remember if that is considered a racial slur today, but I thought it was interesting.
No it's not. Unless some emotional hemophiliac was in the area and heard it.
I would have liked to been in on that conversation. Hearing his inflection when using it, would have made my day. Just Like mama use to do
No inflection. He was talking about how he had no idea that snow was wet or slippery having coming straight from Italy. He said he had just arrived at the Chicago airport and stepped in the snow and fell flat on his back. "Then this giant octoroon picked me up off the ground and put me on my feet. His had spanned across my whole entire chest, from here, to here." It made me laugh.
If you're lucky, you may still meet that guy. He was my grandpa's best friend. If you end up coming down here to check out the garage, he may be around.
I'll talk to family and see what the deal is. I assume that now is when all the real drama starts. If I have time off this weekend, we'll see if we can get something arranged.

All day long
I had a dream the other night I was skateboarding on a college campus when some campus cop got all huffy that I wasn't wearing a helmet, "t-guard"(understood in dream to be mouth guard), and something else I cannot recall but understood to essentially be a backboard to keep me upright. He yelled at me to "stay right there". So I booked it. I'm sure this has to do with a subconscious struggle against authority which oversteps its bounds of my personal liberties in the name of safety which, based on experience, actually disallows safety due to the restriction thereof.
I had crazy dreams last night as well.
I never have dreams. Or if I do I don't recall having them. I wonder what that means?
I used to have dreams, especially in my teens and early twenties. But I don't recall having dreams for probably the last fifteen or twenty years.
Even after Nyquil?
I think I'd be sad to lose my dreams.
After thinking about it some more, I don't think I would. Dreams are an afterthought. I don't look forward to them, and don't always remember them, and on those days when I don't remember a dream, I'm not any less happy. I will say that often times when my wife's complains about me talking in my sleep, I don't partucularly remember having been dreaming.
That's from that British comedy show I keep posting clips of in the funny video thread. I believe it is called That Mitchell and Webb Situation.
I just spent about 20 minutes painstakingly explaining why a meme was funny, over text message, without actually showing the meme, just describing it. I had to do some internet research to help me explain. Even though I ended up wasting both of our time, I better understand the history of that particular meme and now find it even more funny. Exhilarating experience.
I would tell you something else I promised not to do, but this is a family show.
first week down in Libralfornia.... Haven't punched a snowflake yet
Ventured to the beach, but stayed to myself so I didn't have to deal with them
You'll probably find that people there are mostly like they are here, and everywhere.
