I went to south Cabela's yesterday to buy a Burris fast fire III which was on sale for $200. Their customer service was terrible. I don't know how manuy employees they had standing around really doing nothing but trying to avoid eye contact with customers until I got to the gun counter. Not too busy, I waited a few minutes by the scopes, no one even looked my way. Went and talked to 3 people who were not helping customers, but putting away guns. Said I needed help they said fine someone will be with you in a minute. 10 minutes later I went back to these 3 and now was kinda pissed. I asked again for assistance, and the girl said, once we are finished putting away the guns. I said and that is more important than helping a customer? So she got off her fat ass and showed me the RMR and Burris, but by that time I was too pissed and walked out without buying it even though I came for the Burris and it was a good deal.
Rant over.
It's unfortunate, William......but this type of thing IS the result of "time outs", and "everyone's a winner" generations. IMO
Cabelas North seems to have older employees, at least the handful of times I've been a consumer there. Bummer that you walked out without what you went there for in the first place. Personally I don't want to spend my money at a place that gives me shitty excuses before they even consider giving me service.
It may be worthless, but make a complaint to the regional and / or corporate office. Explain the piss poor customer service and that you left without purchasing the item you expressly went there to purchase.
Who knows, they might send you a $5 gift card for the poor experience.
Moved a bunch of stuff out of the 2nd job offices today. That last desk was a MOTHER effer but at least myself and the other dude didn't sustain any injuries in the process.
Cleaned up the gun safe and sorted out all the ammo.....I found 300Blk I didn't know I had....
And went shooting with wifey at the LGS today....yay..fun day

Work is finally done. Heading to the Buena Vista area later this morning to camp till Thursday. Hot springs, fishing, beer and "evening activities" with the wife (not necessarily in that order). Oh yeah.
Spent the last two days - and still going - repairing my POS 5th wheel trailer. Have to finish putting the interior back together today.
Sadly, I did not take any pictures of the work in progress.
We had the cap off, the inside overhang torn out from the inside, and had to cut off some C channel steel to re-weld the front 2x5 box crossmember, then put that piece back on. Probably should have replaced it, but that would have put us another day back as only one place in far north Denver had 2x5. Fixed some weld cracks around the pinbox, re-attached the front frame section/body.
We decided to just get it through the summer and then I'll hopefully start looking for something else.
Camping trailers are nice, I'd like to get one with slides some day. The extra space would be cool.

I just sold 2 Axial Wriath' and they where a blast to play with. Did pretty much everything in RC except boats or tanks. Heli's are cool but after flying fixed wings for so long it's a logic my head has a slow time wrapping around especially airborne. I'm good with fixed wing and quadcopters. Did nitro cars for a couple years and that's cool but it's just a different world when your airborne.
Speaking of crawlers this guy needs new axels but is a pretty fun climber (Axial AX10 Scorpion). No lights light the Wriath but this thing can take stairs like no ones bidness
