I did mine myself, It's a pain, but if you've been a GM mechanic, you're more than capable. Here's a link to a thread with all the info including part numbers, and excerpts from the factory manuals.

Something to keep in mind, a lot of the timing component problems on these engines is caused from excessively long oil intervals, and incorrect oil. Look in your owners manual, it gives the ford spec for the oil. If you don't see it on the bottles of oil you use, there is a hint.
