Thank goodness we installed that french drain and sump pump last year or my family room would probably have 6 inches of standing water right now. Right where my computer sits.
Just heard hwy 72, Coal Creek Canyon was under 3-4 feet of water at spots.... Anybody up here that can confirm?
I am just happy for the moisture.
We need this moisture something fierce around here.
Having been here my whole life, I can tell you that it used to be common to have afternoon rain showers consistently throughout summer. This completely dry and hot climate during summer was not the norm.
A week of heavy rain straight has happened before, but not frequently.

Where are the damn mountain people?
Just heard train derailed in canyon up here.
Being told to get to higher ground. How the hell do you do that when you are top of a freakin mountain?
Milliken, backyard lawn in low quadrant under 4-5 inches of water. Damn window well had water a few inches up the glass. Toads swimming around. Bailed water and toads and that worked so I only ended up with a gallon or 3 on the floor. Water started to recede by bedtime at 5pm. Little worried what I'll come home from work to.
